A breeding pair of rainbow lorikeets have already laid eggs in the deep hollow of a gum tree. Despite autumn not really have arrived yet, these two are getting an early start.
Although beautiful, these birds are not natives to western Australia and have a devastating impact on the native birds. Despite their pesky nature I do find them stunning creatures. And the fact that they found their way to the west coast of Australia was due to human error, so it isn't really their fault that they have becomes pests in the west...
