The DNA tower in Kings Park botanical gardens was where I headed today. The tower is 15 metres high and was erected in 1966. The double helix staircase was not originally designed this way, the original idea was to have a spiral staircase to overlook the view from the parkland, not practical to have one staircase a second was added. Which of
course likens it to a DNA strand.
From there I headed down into the botanical gardens themselves to see what wildflowers would still be in bloom..
