Walyunga National Park was the destination once again today. Although rain was forecasted for the day it once again held off until I was headed home. In the two weeks since I visited there are more flowers bringing their magical beauty to the land. Sprays of orange made a spectacular difference to the vibrant green winter grasses.
Reaching Syd's rapids this time and feeling the powerful cleansing energy of the rushing water. Even strolling past induced a deep calm. The froth appeared to be dancing as the wind lifted it up and swirled it around before the delicate bubbles landed softly on the earth. The river fascinated me, especially as it pounded its way over the rapids. The rapids divide into three sections and the water also rushes through the small island, gently cascading over the rocky surface. It is beautiful place for quiet reflection.
The nesting corella colony was still squawking their protests as I ambled by. There is safety in numbers for the corellas to nest in groups. As I passed one corella was close to one of the nests quietly chattering to the chicks high up in the tree hollow. Such a nurturing moment to witness.
The rock formations here are breathtaking. These ancient beings remain undisturbed since time on the planet began. Raw and untouched as they should be.......
