Enjoying another meander around Black Swan Island and taking in all the beauty that nature offers freely. The trees were teeming with bird life and many serenades of joy enveloped my heart.
The sky clear and sun warm for the first half hour or so then the gusty winds began bringing the nourishing bounty of rain once again.
I was a little disappointed to see that a lot of the grasses had been sprayed with a poison and the lush green had turned to a withered dead brown. I do worry about the birds and insects when chemicals are applied to the land. And do ponder why such things are still done.
There wasn't as many flowers blooming here, however those plants that were in flower were stunning. There were a lot of bulldog ant nests in one pocket of the island, these ants are best avoided as they really give a very nasty bite. Admired and left to waterproof their nests in preparation for the coming storm.....
