The sitting room windows are the perfect vantage points to watch the comings and goings of the smaller birds in the garden. Getting a photo of them though is still a challenge, especially for the tiny and ever busy silvereye. Patience did finally payoff and one good photo taken.
The number of silvereyes I now have in the garden is very inspiring, the bushiness of the foliage providing safe places to nest and live. In the summer months when I am out watering the garden these birds come very close inviting me to spray the water so that they may have a bath. It is always very magical being encircled by a family of such tiny beings.....
