Out Exploring...........

Out exploring the Swan Valley, taking roads never travelled provided some interesting discoveries. I always aim to go somewhere each year I have never been before, and sometimes it is as simple as driving down a road often past yet never explored.

Art and nature what a glorious combination.
For really what is nature but artful expressions from our Earthly Mother.

Despite hay fever symptoms that seemed heighten around some plants and thankfully disappear when back inside the car I thoroughly enjoyed the warm spring sunshine.
The river water appearing murky had so much life bustling underneath. The tell tale signs of the long neck turtles seen in several places meaning the water quality is good. I also did spy some little tunnels on the side of the riverbed which may indicate some native otters.
How exciting I thought.

I then went to amble around a vineyard never before visited.
The vibrant green of the flourishing vines already ladened with many young grapes beginning to grow.  The small lake that lay beyond the boundary fence stunning, with many families of waterbirds also out enjoying this perfect spring day.
A lone raven looking for left over food was a regal chap.

However the best discovery of the day was of the happy cow family seen by going down yet another unexplored road.
The calf was simply adorable as it happily froliced in the paddock as the rest of the herd fed on the abundance of lush still green grass. And the final photo of a proud bull standing guard over his precious family made me pause to appreciate the love All beings have for their families.

The only worrying sight of the day was smoke lingering from a fire up in the hills near where I live, with summer approaching  and vegetation drying out clouds of smoke is definitely not something I wish to see a lot of looming on the horizon.......
