Flying in the calls of the carnaby cockatoos echoed out in the silence of the afternoon, landing in the huge sheoak trees the flock kept high up in the towering trees seeking out the tasty nuts gifted by the tree for them to eat.
Endangered as a species I was briefly stunned by the number in this flock, many young could be heard squawking to their parents as the flock settled down to feed.
Taking the time to stop and to watch this family made my day, the simple pleasure of simply watching nature always fills my heart with the greatest pleasure of all, nothing that humanity creates comes close to the grace of our Mother and the seemingly endless array of life she creates and nurtures......
