Magical little mushrooms have been popping up in the raised garden bed overnight for the past few evenings. They don't last long as the heat during the day wilts them really swiftly. They are a good indicator of the health of the soil though, which is keeping the vegetables and fruits growing in here healthy, All the seedlings are flourishing and this weekend I will make a trellis for the beans to climb up. The watermelon is slow to grow but they are now finally getting new leaves. And so far so good in regards to the chickens keeping out of here.
In the food and flower meadow the dwarf sunflowers all have buds nearly ready to open. Hopefully the parrots will not eat them before they have a chance to bloom fully. Also the pineapple orange tree has three fruits growing larger each day, this is the first time the tree has offered a crop. These will be enjoyed as I have waited so long for it to produce fruit.
There is another mystery flower which is nearly ready to open its pretty pink blooms. Not quite sure what the plant is as I threw a mixture of seeds in here. They are very tiny flowers and such a pretty hue of pink.
The jacaranda flowers are slowly growing larger, the lovely purple is now just beginning to show as each day they slowly grow a little bigger....
