It Hasn't Taken Long...

It hasn't taken long for the once lush paddocks to been blown dry by the wind as the summer creeps ever closer. The day I visited the cows it was particularly hot. Sadly too I noticed that part of the herd was missing, I am hoping that they had found shade elsewhere and and not been sent to a horrid fate, I didn't ask the farmer in case it was the latter he informed me of. 

There appeared to be only this cooling patch of green in the field, and the adorable calf was certainly enjoying resting there while mum and dad stood watch.....
