An Afternoon Stroll..........

An afternoon stroll around John Forrest National Park was a lovely way to end the day yesterday, the day warm and the strong scent of eucalyptus in the air and the chirping of cicadas added to the experience. There wasn't a lot of flowers to be found, but those plants that were flowering were vibrant against the already drying out bushland. The main picnic area still has an inviting vibe, the little wooden huts make a nice place for a picnic lunch, gazing out over the water and watching the ducks was extremely relaxing.
The park is going through a lot of upgrades and there appeared to be a lot of work in revegetation going on too. No kangaroos were spotted, which doesn't mean they were not watching as I ambled along, they are masters at remaining hidden whilst giving one the feeling of being watched.
I noticed a few new paths I had not seen before and after the summer I will venture along these tracks to explore them, this time of the year fire is always a concern so bushwalking is not a wise activity in the summer. There is always a mystical feeling that envelops me when walking alone in the bush. There is always so many wonders to see no matter how many times I may visit a place.......

The lizard bench compels you to look twice.

It is very life like William, and thankfully there are no lizards that size roaming around.

Thank you Harry.
