As Another Day...

As another day dawns the sound of the corellas and rose chested cockatoos screeching their joyous glee to the world suddenly breaks the silence. The trees in the neighbouring bushland filled with the large flock as they fly from tree to tree as another day begins. In the garden the rose chested cockatoos have already descended and are snacking on the acacia seeds and left over tidbits from the chickens breakfast. Some are quite tolerant of me now and will stay put while I wander the garden, others though voice their disapproval and disappear to higher branches. A lone corella made a perfect subject high in the branches as it waited patiently for me to move away, the corellas are not around all year and are less comfortable with humans.
Watching the way these birds greet each new day makes me grateful for the blessings nature freely bestows, how magnificent our natural world is and how much wonder is always present just waiting for us to silently witness..........
