My next stop yesterday was back at Whitman's Park, this time to explore where another trail I noticed last week led. It wasn't a very long walk, yet I was taken with the sculptural delights that the trees create. I can get lost for hours as I wander under a canopy of green, simply observing. The ground still dry and dusty even after a few heavy downpours. There were pockets of green in the understory, and the scent of eucalyptus was strong in the air. No birds to be seen nor heard which was a surprise.
A few spiders caught my eye in their webs dangling in the distance.
