Hidden behind a wall of trees there is a lake. A rather large lake that appears to disappear from view.
A haven for birds all year round. This lake is one of the only places where the native black swans can be found in large numbers. They are magnificent birds. Truly regal with their sleek black feathers and long elegant necks.
As well as the swans there were many other water birds all enjoying their day on and around the lake.
I did see an eagle slowly flying overhead yet lost sight of it as it flew towards the treeline thankfully not disturbing the peacefulness of the birds......
