The Brisk Cool Breeze....

The brisk cool breeze made for a lovely meander at my local lake. Either a seven minute drive or around a 40 minute walk I am blessed to have Lake Leschenaultia so close.
Peacefully quiet apart from the contented chirping of crickets and happy croaking frogs. The wind dancing across the water lightly rippling the surface creating beautiful patterns as the sun hit the water, sometimes little stars twinkled on water too deepening the tranquility felt.
Rescuing a bedraggled moth from the sand and placing it on the leaf of nearby fig tree, gently laying it down in a safer place. Such a fragile being nearing the end of it's time here, it's wings so frayed, it's tiny body clearly weary. It's beauty and life acknowledged.
A blue dragonfly followed me for a while, flying along keeping me company as I strolled. Not many wildflowers in bloom, only the tiny purple ones seemed to be left to add a splash of colour along the bushy paths.
Most of the water birds were either sleeping, preening or taking a lazy swim.
Everything was so calm.
The clear waters have a delightful golden hue to them in the shallows, the oils from the bark and leaves create this which adds a softness to the water, enhancing it's healing properties too, which makes swimming here very therapeutic....
