The secret lives of chickens is not so secret to me anymore with my brood of colourful hens and roosters. Spending time just sitting and watching them for a few hours is one the best ways to relax into a quiet meditation. This particular afternoon they were trying to find a cool place to escape the heat, rather like myself. There was snoozing, preening, dust baths and other chicken activities as these eight precious souls went about business as usual........
