A Jewel Spider.....

A jewel spider (Austracantha) or Christmas spider as most people refer to them was another little creature I was lucky enough to spot yesterday. Being really tiny females are 7mm and males 4mm they are not easy to see being so tiny. They are not poisonous to humans and rarely bite if disturbed.
They are a member of the orb weavers (Araneidae) and can be found living in overlapping webs, but I only saw the one......
