The Seed Pods.....

 The seed pods on one of my pincushion hakea's are as stunning and unusual as their flowers.

Out of the three I have this one is the only one to produce these amazing nut like pods.

The pincushion hakea is one of my absolute favourite flowers as they are just so otherworldly and unique.

Will keep an eye on these pods as they begin to open so I can gather the seeds for potting up for friends.

All three of my pincushion hakea trees have masses of buds waiting for autumn to arrive, they stay dormant until the weather conditions are perfect for the blooms to open, so I am in for a stunning show of colour once the weather begins to turn......
