Breakfast time is a busy time at the moment with many species of birds joining the chickens to feed their young.
The magpies have fledglings as do the ringnecks and the pink and grey galahs, all the babies are quite demanding and they endlessly call to their parents to be fed, as well as these larger birds there are also many tinier birds who flit in and out of the crowd as well, always so quick it is difficult to capture them on my camera.
There is very little squabbling amongst them all, they all share what is given, little Gaia gets a little overwhelmed at times, and will head for the safety of a bushy canopy to hide when she finds it too busy, but over all it's all very calm and ordered.
With a perfect view from the kitchen window I get to observe them all as they feed and chatter away.
The wealth of life that visits my garden is impressive, and I never take for granted how friendly these wild birds are, many of the little honeyeaters, magpies and parrots do not fly away when I am out in the garden, most of the magpies will take food from my hand, the trust these birds have in me is humbling.
True wealth is much more than possessions and money, true wealth comes from the magical moments that the harmony of nature offers.......
