The chocolatey coloured water of Mussel Pool always gives such distinctive views. Despite the recent deluge of rain, the water level is still quite low, with the warmer months fast approaching this is cause for concern.
Some wonderful fungi were seen as I ambled along. I also spent time watching a raven doing a spot of fishing. Ravens are such intelligent birds and this one was very entertaining as it hunted for a tasty lunch.
A couple of orchids were seen towards the end of my walk, and these are a variety I had not seen previously...
