After the storm last week there was debris strewn all over the garden, fallen branches and leaves were not only covering the ground, they were also dangling from other plants.
It was a chaotic mess.
Spending the day yesterday clearing up and generally tidying up the front garden and the side of the cottage.
Phone calls will be made today to arrange the fallen tree to be removed, which will be sad. I am hoping she will resprout after the trauma of being cut back.
The sun was warm, the beautiful heady scent of jasmine filled the air.
It was a delightful day and by evening I was so exhausted.
That completely nourishing kind of tired, which only comes from having your hands in the earth and the sun on your back, my heart and soul were content.
The garden looked equally gratified....
