A visit to Mundaring Weir nestled in the foothills east of Perth a couple of days ago on a warm clear sunshiny type of day.
It was a day of taking in the natural beauty and acknowledging the many great trees that towered above me.
Meeting a shingleback lizard which was checked for ticks before placing it safely back under a tree.
Discovering a wild wasp nest made in the opening of a large piece of granite.
Of marvelling at the dedication of a jarrah tree who defined all logic by growing and thriving on the side of a boulder.
And of ending the walk sitting under a gigantic Morton bay fig tree whose silent presence made me feel extremely humble and ever so small......

What a beastie!
Wasn't he. And a very gentle beastie at that.
