Several weeks ago I stopped at Garvey Park for a break before heading out of the suburbs. This stretch of the Swan River has lots of walking paths but most importantly though lots of birds.
I love corellas as they can be quite comical, this family though was settling down for a nap.
Pelicans are often sighted here, I was delighted one was drifting lazily along with the current.
The crested pigeons are a bird I don't see often enough, especially with a fluffy fledging resting in the grass...
