Sculptures By The Sea...

Sculptures By the Sea at Cottlesloe Beach is an annual event here in Perth and one that I had not come down to in many years.
I decided to go midweek thinking it might be quieter.
How wrong I was!
I normally like to avoid having people in my photos, but it was near on impossible to capture most of the sculptures without others in them.
Actually it was really refreshing seeing so many others enjoying art combined with the stunning vista of the Indian Ocean as a backdrop.

Every time I've come in the past I have been impressed with how the exhibition had been curated, this year was no exception.

It was difficult to pick a favourite, I really loved the little creature hiding up on a branch
Very cleverly place I thought.
I also really liked the lounge chair and crow
The unicorn was beautiful and I really loved the fabric noodle creations dangling from the trees.

Being back alongside the beach was also very stimulating.
The day was overcast and the salty breeze sometimes a little bit fresh, I found that just added to the ambience.

I realised once again how much I've missed coming down to the sandy coastal playgrounds
I plan on coming down from the hills a lot more frequently in the future, getting myself in the healing salty water on a more regular basis once again...
