As This...


 As this illustration shows rainbow lorikeets are vibrantly stunning birds. Here in Western Australia though they are considered pests as they are not native to this part of Australia. Fewer than ten of these birds escaped from captivity and have proceeded to create a massive population here.
There is a small flock that comes to the garden seasonally, apart from being incredibly loud, they usually don't do much harm to the garden.
The rainbow lorikeet is perhaps the most famous of Australia's eight lorikeets, there are however seven other lorikeets. The coconut lorikeet,red-collared lorikeet, scaly- breasted lorikeet, purple crowned lorikeet, musk lorikeet, varied lorikeet and lastly the smallest of them all the little lorikeet...
