I can't remember the last time I came down to Reabold Hill. It's not far from City Beach and is a wonderful natural wildlife haven surrounded by coastal suburbs. There was a lot of activity in the trees, with birds feeding on the banksia flowers. I encounter several different varieties of banksia which thrive in this area. I love these flowers, because they are so unique. Some are soft and fluffy to the touch, others have blooms that are quite rigid which is unusual for flowers.
There are also stunning views of the ocean at several places, I did stop to sit and take in the scene of endless water. Another world lurking beneath the calm water, another realm that holds endless fascination for me. I sat pondering this as I was cocooned by the trees.
The day was overcast yet not too hot, perfect for a slow walk along the winding paths...
