Venturing to Bells Rapids a couple of weeks ago to check on the water level was a shock. The riverbed still bare. It was clear to see the many casualties of the dreadful summer we had. Clumps of dried canopies stood out. The day was promising rain; however, it is not always falling where it is needed. And it is desperately needed in the waterways and bushlands...
