A different destination was calling to me, Jorgenson Park in Kalamunda. I love to meander through the winding trails here. A shorter walk than I would have liked as I was headed somewhere else. Although, any time in nature is taken where possible even if it is brief.
The colour was returning after the scorching summer had dried everything out, making the bush a tinderbox, which is thankfully less of a concern now the rains are returning.
Sadly, there was a lot of reminders of just how catastrophic the summer was. Hopefully the winter will be long and very wet and revive the plants and trees with its nourishing bounty...
