Mussel Pool...

Mussel Pool a part of Whiteman Park and named after the once prolific freshwater mussels that were found in the area. Surrounded by paperbark trees, which are part of the melaleuca family it is a beautiful spot.
The water had a chocolatey hue, not entirely sure why, maybe something to do with the oils from the trees, I didn't think it was from mud as the water was not disturbed.
Although none were seen, the area is home to a big colony of brushtail possums, as well as many other bush land creatures...

That looks like an interesting place to explore. The word "enchanting" popped into my head as I scrolled through the photos.

It does have a peaceful vibe, William.

And enchanting also fits the area, Sharon.
