On The Mornings.......

On the mornings when I give the chicken folk their breakfast of warm rice and corn kernels the garden becomes suddenly alive with the other birds who fly in and fly out each day to check out the treat.

What I have learnt by observing the ten species of birds that regularly share the garden and tasty treats is the acceptance each species has for the other,  from the tiny yellow rumped thornbills to the chickens and ducks, they will all eat and wander around together without any fear or intimidation.

Occasionally there might be a squabble about something or other, and in all the species there is of course a pecking order, however there is rarely anything serious to contend with.

They simply have a little squawking tantrum and then it is done with and all returns to normal and breakfast once again becomes the focus.

Humanity could really do with learning this lesson of acceptance.
It doesn't matter where we come from or what we look like we should be like the birds, content and happy with who we are and confident to express ourselves without fear of judgements, expectations or humiliations.

Humans could also learn to live in the now, to enjoy the moment and not carry disagreements forward, again we should be like the birds, deal with it here and now and then let it go, and sometimes actually think about why we need to have a drama in the first place.

Birds are happy creatures they don't have dramas, there is no resentment, no manipulations and certainly no hatred.

Of course human lives are perhaps a tad more complex than that of the bird, although I feel that human lives could be far less complicated if humanity became more tolerant, a little more patient, less controlling and more forgiving.

Perhaps if humans thought about the energy expelled and used to create and keep disagreements and arguments ongoing, and perhaps consider that this behaviour is such a dreadful waste of energy and a dreadful drain on the body  and move on without the weight of dramas holding them down, life would become more flowing and harmonious.

Life can be simple and happy and loving and joyful if we just learn to be like the birds........
