Late July...

Late July I took a leisurely meander around Woodlake Park in Ellenbrook. I was greeted by a vibrant display of Geraldton wax, these pink waxy flowers are gorgeous. This plant is native to Western Australia, is drought tolerant, and the leaves of the plant have a citrus like flavour.
There was also a red hakea in bloom as well as a red flowering gum, which was striking against the dazzling blue sky.
An ibis made for some good photos, as did one particular grebe and an egret.
Nature never fails to soothe and inspire.
I am so grateful for having such a deep connection her ever changing wildlife wonders...
