Passing...

Passing a vibrant red flowering gum had me turning around and parking up. The blossoms really drew me forward. Gum blossoms are incredibly unusual flowers of eucalyptus trees. I spent time connecting with the tree and soaking in it's beauty before meandering on.

Next I spotted an orb spider, I love orb spiders and am always delighted in spotting one. They create huge sticky webs usually in between trees. Despite their enormous size, they are not poisonous to humans.

Next it was on to an amble around this lake I discovered a month or so ago and into the serene domain of the water dwellers.
Being around water is soothing as much as it is fascinating...

What a beautiful moment of slowing down and truly noticing the world 🌿✨ The vivid red flowering gum sounds absolutely striking—those blossoms have such an almost unreal intensity that it’s no surprise they made you stop and turn back.

And I love the way you describe that connection with the tree, just being present with its beauty before moving on. Then spotting the orb spider feels like a perfect continuation of that quiet attentiveness 🕷️🌸 Nature really rewards those who take the time to look closely—it’s full of small wonders in every direction.
