Completing my visit to my old suburb, I decided to stop at my favourite park in the area. There's been quite a lot of work done to these ornamental lakes since I moved. And I must admit they really are quite lovely now.
The day was really quite hot and the ducks were relaxing around the edges of the lake. A large family of corella's were waddling about eating seeds. And one to my surprise was perched on a rock in the water.
It had been quite the day, I must say that as much as it was nice to be by the ocean again, I realised that I don't miss this area at all.
I drove past my old homes and both looked dreadful, and seeing how crammed in they were gave me a bit of claustrophobia.
I was ready to be surrounded by the trees again.
So grateful I had found my way to my little cosy cottage and the life I have built there.
I will make the drive more often down the the ocean, as I do miss the cleansing energy being near the ocean brings.
It's a different kind of energy to the bush and Lake Leschenultia, and one I realised I miss.
After all, it's only an hour's drive to the coast, which isn't that long in the grand scheme of things.
Before I got back into my car I couldn't resist taking a couple of photos of some stunning banksia flowers.
Beauty really is everywhere...
