Walking in the rain yesterday was so therapeutic, especially being surrounded by bushland. Thankfully I took an umbrella with me because at one point the downpour was so intense I would have been drenched in seconds. The amount of water running off into the lake was a joy to see. The lake has a long way to go to get back to it's normal depths. This is a fabulous start though.
This glorious cloudburst was like music to my heart, finally after seven months, decent soaking rain. The bushland was silent apart from the patter on my umbrella. All creatures secured somewhere warm and hopefully dry. The plants and earth receiving the replenishing life giving water with silent gratitude.
I found being out in this glorious weather absolutely joyous, I stopped many times to simply take in the moments before splashing my way back to my car...
