Visiting Mussel Pool is normally a relaxing experience, last week though I did not find this to be so. Even after the rain we have had the lack of water here was alarming. No birds were seen nor heard. The lack of flowers a concern, as was the lack of insect activity.
The illusion of all being well was given by the well-tended carpet of lush green grass. Although we have been getting rain, it is either regular or enough.
Those who are vastly disconnected from the land stating they are fed up with the wet weather.
It saddens me to hear such statements, and to know how out of touch with reality some humans really are...
