Another adorable moment was enjoyed this week when I bumped into a mother magpie with her little chick. It did not appear that the little one had been out of the nest long as she was still visibly smaller than her mother.
Normally when the magpies bring their fledglings to feed, they are about as large as their parents. This one was quite curious of me, and seemed to be taking in all she was seeing.
After mum made sure the coast was clear she took off with her baby trotting along behind her...
