Another plant graces me with its first ever flower. Already wilting from the intensity of the sun after one day, but it's gentle beauty still shone through.
With two more buds waiting to open this still tiny tree which was only planted last year has done well to survive. Already the summer has seen many plants in my garden struggling with the scorching days and some of my more delicate natives are looking sad and defeated. This hibiscus seems to thrive in the relentless heat, having lost several native trees this summer I am thinking maybe a couple more hibiscus trees may have more chance of surviving the long Western Australian summers.....
