Falls Park in Parkerville is a hidden gem, one which I found by accident several years ago.
Like all the unique special spots in the foothills, you don't tend to pass on the location of these secret places.
The less people knowing, means it isn't destroyed by too many visitors.
Clutterbuck creek turns a mass of stunning granite boulders into a rushing waterfall when the rains begin.
With recent heavy rains, I decided to take a hike and see if the waters were indeed flowing.
Along the way I found plenty of marvels to draw me in for a closer look.
Wildflowers are beginning to bloom as I mentioned in my last post, and I love to watch the transformation of the landscape when the winter blooming begins.
Its truly magical.
There was also a variety of mushrooms and puffballs along the way.
And plenty of puddles for a series of reflection photos.
I could hear the waterfall, long before I saw it.
The rushing waters cascading over the rocks was immensely cleansing as the sound wrapped itself around me.
I find coming here is like visiting the past, when time was simple.
There is an ancient feeling here as the granite emits its powerful spirit, one that oozes wisdom, without uttering a sound.
Healing.
Sacred.
Being here alone has a profound effect.
For the interconnectedness of life is woven into this primal vista.
There has been little that has changed in this unique spot, it is almost as it time has stood still and passed it by...
