Reclaimed...

Reclaimed is an extraordinary exhibition on at the Ellenbrook Art Gallery. The works exquisite.

The artist works with wax, the technique known as encaustic art, which dates back to ancient Egypt.

It uses layer upon layer of wax to create the image.

I actually have a encaustic art piece myself, but not to this standard.

Melissa De Winter has elevated herself to my favourite artist. 

Each piece was as impressive as the next, and given the sizes of some of her pieces, I stood there mesmerised as to how as to how talented the artist is.

 Speaking with the gallery attendant I was told this was the artist's first ever exhibition. I very much doubt it will be her last...
