The cycle of life is continually completing itself, yet I guess we don't always stop to witness it. In a garden it's a continual wave of birth and death. Seeing this cicada skin as I was working in my garden today, I stopped to appreciate the brief life this tiny being led. The shedding of a cicada skin is done shortly before it's death. A sobering moment of reflection was given for such a fascinating creature. Life can become extremely difficult for us humans, yet I wonder, do we have it far easier than some other species that share their lives on our planet...
