Stopping to look at flowers when I am out and about is not unusual for me, in fact it's something that I always make time for. Especially if I see roses, because with them you definitely just can't look. You have to breathe in their delicious scent.
When I see flowers that I've never seen before I will even take a detour to go and have a closer look.
And that's what happened when I saw this tree in full bloom.
I discovered after a bit of research that it's a Paulownia Tree.
The flowers were just divine and they had a kind of vanilla scent. Obviously I had to take more than one photo, a strong wind was making it quite a challenge, but that made the moment memorable.
Now each year I will keep an eye out around November/December to capture a glimpse of theses spectacular blooms again...
