A Random Conversation...

A random conversation towards the end of last year with a complete stranger has brought about a therapeutic beginning to 2025.  Yesterday I accepted an invitation and I met this person at the Mount Helena swimming pool a short 7 minute drive from Chidlow. What a marvelous way to end a hot day. It wasn't overly busy and it was easy to swim leisurely as we chatted, getting to know each other.
It's been such long time since I have had such a thoroughly good time.
Drifting in the cool water, feeling weightless and soothed, the sun warm overhead, completely blissful. Good conversation was an added bonus!

Being in water is so calming and I don't do it enough. With the coast being over an hour's drive each way, I don't venture down to the ocean as much as I should. But now I will be coming here a few times a week to soak up the relaxing benefits being in water brings.
Leaving the pool I noticed a lovely mosaic art piece by the kiosk. It's always stimulating to come across artwork in the least expected places.
The other interesting thing that happened was that my hat was used to rescue bees from drowning throughout the afternoon.
I did say I wanted to connect more with bees in my daily life. And yesterday afternoon I was rescuing one bee after another out of the pool. Perhaps I should be a little more clear in my meanings. I wasn't overly thrilled trying to save so many bees from drowning.
Although, at least I was there to assist them...
