The stunning cattle egret with it's vibrant breeding plumage, a vision of pure loveliness. Out of breeding season they are pure white, still striking, yet not as colourful.
They often follow cattle as they a special relationship with livestock. They will eat ticks and flies which is a relief for the animals, also they eat any insects stirred up when a herd is walking.
They also eat reptiles, frogs, mice and worms...
