Smouldering logs are a worrying sight after a reduction burn that has once again been too hot.
If only the indigenous method of a cold fire would be used, many animals and birds would be saved, especially the chicks and eggs that are being cared for by parents this time of the year.
Large hollow logs are home to a variety of creatures, and when these burn lives are lost...
