A pair of Carnaby cockatoos' nibbling in a field of wildflowers was a perfect opportunity to get some close-up photos of these magnificent birds.
The species is endangered.
As adults these birds develop strong bonds with their mate and live up to 50 years. Seeing these two looking so happy I pulled over and watched them, glad they are safe and hope they and their family stay that way...
