Dismantling my old bed was really quite simple and surprisingly I felt very uplifted once the room was clear of it. The space was given a good cleansing with some Palo Santo, the smoke leaving the room feeling sparkling as I waited for the new bed to arrive.
Once the new bed had been delivered, I swiftly moved everything into the bedroom and waited for my son to arrive to help me assemble it. Charles was the only one to come and investigate, strangers carrying large boxes which resulted in loud thumping noises had Nala and Bear scatter to dark safe places.
Thankfully we had the bed in place and made in just twenty minutes, we had dreaded the whole flatpack experience however it was super easy. Mind you, Nala was a very friendly supervisor!
I was delighted with the new more modern look the bed gives, plus it doesn't squeak every time I sit on it. Charlie was the first to give it his seal of approval. I like the fact that it is lower to the floor, and not having anything at the foot of the bed gives the room a more flowing feeling.
The first night's sleep was peaceful and no back aches and no wobbles and squeaks each time I turned over. It is quite amazing what a difference a few new pieces of furniture can make...
