Trees are magnificent beings who provide so much for the environment whilst standing ever strong and silent.
The wonderous realm of the tree really is fascinating, and to me sacred.
Norse mythology Yggdrasil saw trees as central to the Universe, as do I.
Now though, there are few like me who honour the wisdom of the trees. Humans in general have forgotten about the delicate balance and mystery of the planet.
There's more to trees than meet the eye, they are wisdom keepers, and in many indigenous tribes are seen as ancestors.
Trees offer food, shade and shelter for many as well as nourishing the earth around them. It's also been proven that trees have feelings and react when hurt. A study was done way back in the 1980's which also proved that trees recognise people.
Trees need to be protected.
I always gaze upwards on my walks, and I often wonder when seeing a tree hollow who resides within.
Luckily, the other day when I was out walking near the river I was lucky to see an inquisitive parent pop out to see who was wandering below.
Being around trees I always feel safe and seen, connected to the true essence of life...

Beautiful photos. I love trees! We need trees! They protect us and birds and animals as well, and they provide oxygen and breezes, which alleviate the heat and humidity.
