The Ellenbrook Art Awards 2025...

The Ellenbrook Art Awards are currently on, so several weeks ago I went to have a look.
My favourite piece was the textural sculpture of an octopus, completed by having her resting on a bed of coral.
Of course there were so many spectacular entries.
A couple of my favourite artists had paintings in the exhibition.
And there were many artists I had never seen of before.
As always, I found myself pondering on how art is interpreted, really it comes down to each individual as they view a piece. Perhaps even the gallery and lighting, which in a great art gallery can give that wow factor.
I know that I have changed my perspective on paintings I have seen, depending on the mood I've been in, or taking longer to really gaze into the piece if the gallery doesn't offer the best ambience.
Next to nature, art is my second favourite thing, and it's always fun looking for new galleries and exhibitions to see...
