Grabbing My...

Grabbing my raincoat, wellington boots and umbrella I set off for a refreshing walk in the rain. I had tried to time it in between downpours, but when I got halfway around the lake the heavens opened to lashing rain and thrashing winds.
Keeping my camera dry was a feat in itself.
As for me, well I was absolutely soaked.
I love being out in this kind of weather as it has such a deep cleansing effect.
This kind of weather also induces fits of giggling, which is as equally good for the soul.
The pathways were mini lakes as water gushed downhill.
I did not see nor  hear any birds,  even the frogs were silent.
Towards the end of my walk while photographing one of the overflows, I noticed a southwestern snake necked turtle who appeared to be playing in the rushing water.
It was fighting its way up against the current only to get pushed back down the stream.
That did not stop it though, as it simply turned around and started the whole procedure again.
I could image that it is quite fun surfing the water, at one point it got turned over, and it took quite a few seconds to right itself again.
But off it set again, it was heartwarming to see another being out enjoying this glorious wet and wild day...
