Another interesting display at the entrance to the planetarium at SciTech Discovery Centre is this piece of space junk that was found on the beach at Green Head in 2023.
It is a barnacle covered fuel tank from a solar satellite that plummeted back to earth and floated in the Indian Ocean for quite some time, before being washed up to shore...
