Wondering what had captivated Charlie's attention at the front door I was astonished to see this cute little frog the other side of the door.
When I went out to get a photo of him I first thought he may have been hurt when I saw the red patches on him. I went around to look at the other side of his body, it was the same. So I stopped worrying.
I had not seen one of these frogs before, so I did a quick bit of research to discover he is a pobblebonk frog, also known as a western banjo frog. Again, I had never heard of this species before.
So delighted that the front garden has live in residents as well, so well hidden, I had not seen any before now.
I often hear a chorus of frogs of an evening. Now at least I have seen of the croaking choir ...
